The Client:

The clients were a couple who owned a 2-bedroom mid-terraced property. They had recently undertaken extensive home renovations and were seeking a solution to consolidate their debts while ensuring they could finish the remaining work on their home. 

The Situation:

The clients had accumulated eleven separate items of credit totalling £103,144 during the process of moving home and completing a full property refurbishment. They also required an additional £3,856 to complete the finishing touches on their home. Escaping their existing debt cycle was imperative, as the combined monthly payments of £2,138 were becoming unmanageable. The clients needed a fast and reliable lending solution that could provide relief without adding further complexity or stress to their financial situation. 

Our Solution

Aria Finance arranged a residential second charge loan with a lender able to offer a three-year fixed rate, closely aligned with the remaining term of the clients’ existing mortgage. The lender provided a fast and efficient underwriting process, including approval at 75% LTV using an Automated Valuation, without requiring consent from the first charge lender. The loan consolidated all eleven credit items into a single, manageable monthly repayment and also provided the residual funds needed to complete the home renovations. 

Benefits & Results:

By consolidating their debts, the clients achieved savings of up to £1,424 per month. The streamlined repayments replaced multiple direct debits, providing significant financial relief and peace of mind. Additionally, the residual funds allowed the clients to complete the finishing touches on their home, fully realising the benefits of their renovation project. The entire process was completed within four weeks, demonstrating a fast, efficient, and empathetic service that addressed both the clients’ financial and personal needs.
